How to Play Checkers
Checkers is played on an 8x8 board. Each player starts with 12 pieces on the dark squares of the three rows closest to them.
Pieces move diagonally forward to an adjacent unoccupied square. If a piece of the opponent is on an adjacent square with an empty space behind it, you must jump over the opponent's piece, capturing it.
When a piece reaches the opposite end of the board, it becomes a king. Kings can move and capture backwards as well as forwards.
The game ends when one player captures all of the opponent's pieces or when a player cannot make a legal move.
